Poetry Collage Workshop

Participants in this workshop will make a unique collage work of art using magazine papers, fabrics, objects and words of poetry with Yoonsoo Nam, Artist and Poet Laureate of Lewisville.

Yoonsoo Nam is a contemporary abstract artist and a poet who delivers meaningful messages through creative paintings and poems inspired by pure love. Her unique and stylish art emanates peace and joy and expresses the atmosphere of Heaven. She works in a variety of mediums, such as acrylics, inks, oil pastels, papers and fabrics. In her appointment as Poet Laureate for the City of Lewisville, she is responsible for creating original poetry to commemorate special occasions and participating in the planning of poetry-based educational programs in the community.

Registration is $10 per person, and the workshop will be limited to 20 participants. All supplies will be provided, but participants can bring print outs of their own poetry to use that in the collage. Open to ages 7 and up; children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult also registered for the workshop.

To reach The Grand from I-35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall.
