Embroidered with Flowers
On land once barren and bare,
a breath of green begins to rise—
as if stitched with blooming threads,
the earth is filled with fragrance.
A heart once hollow and still
now overflows with hope,
painted in radiant hues
that color all within.
This moment, come again,
so quietly beautiful,
lifts me from my withered self
and teaches me to dream anew.
Stitch by stitch, the pattern grows,
till it covers all the ground—
the silent steps I’ve walked
become a path, become a light.
Like fields embroidered with flowers,
You cover me in beauty,
shape me with Your gentle hands,
and make my life a fragrance.

“Do not remember the former things, Or ponder the things of the past. Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:18-19)
