At last, I become the light
Glory to Him! I am sharing the live painting images and poetry that I began during last night’s worship and touched up during this morning’s meditation at the retreat. A mountain of light and darkness—His living water washed it all away. Fire purified us. We became yellow butterflies of hope, flying toward the crown. At last, His promises were fulfilled, bringing forth rainbow colors.
At Last, I Become the Light
Like a night,
with no visible hope,
under heaviness of sin,
You came to me then
and called my name.
Now, like a butterfly,
I rise and fly
from the valley of darkness
toward the shining crown,
to where radiance flows.
Carried by the wind,
beyond the ties of this world,
I do not turn back.
Lightly I ascend—
at last, I become the light.
Beyond the fire,
shining forever,
within eternal rest,
in pure love,
I dwell in freedom.
Like a night,

마침내, 빛이 되리
한때 깜깜한 밤처럼
보이는 희망도 없이
죄에 짓눌려 있던
내게 살며시 다가와
내 이름 부르셨네
이제 나비처럼
나는 날아오르네
어둠의 골짜기에서
빛나는 면류관을 향해
영광이 흐르는 그곳으로
바람에 실려
세상의 끈을 넘네
뒤돌아 가지 않네
가볍게 날아올라
마침내, 빛이 되리
저 불 너머
영원한 빛으로
영원한 쉼으로
순전한 사랑 안에서
자유롭게 날아오르리
“너희가 전에는 어두움이더니 이제는 주 안에서 빛이라 빛의 자녀들처럼 행하라 빛의 열매는 모든 착함과 의로움과 진실함에 있느니라”
